Hey:)
"Removing the Low Pass Filter is a quick and easy one tough operation."
Either it's easy or it's tough; but how can it be both? :D  ;)

joe.. i hardly feel the ZD will be an end all solution.
but if you wanna buy me one. ill accept it. then turn around and sell it for a digital back on my H1 ;)
just wait for Zeiss to put out their Canon and Nikon AF lenses ( GASP! never thought id say that ) and youll forget allllll about that ZD

As a Mamiya 645AFD/Kodak 645M user I've been eagerly awaiting the ZD ... however, they won't be seeing my $$$$$ until they've proven themselves and show examples and some seriously impressive reviews. Even then, I'm tainted against Mamiya these days by their inability to deliver new product. For example, the ZD back seems to have been pushed back, the 26mm lens got 'forgotten'after announcing it 2+years ago, etc.
And, for the record, I LOVE my Mamiya so this all pains me even more!

i had an original rz67 pro for a good 2 years, and it was an amazing camera. i swore i would never sell it, until i had the chance to join the Hassy crowd with the deal of a century on an H1. sometimes i regret selling it, but i just go tinker with the H1 for a bit and i no longer feel regret ;)

Given a deeper wallet I would have definitely gone down the H1 route vs Mamiya as the camera system is much more sophisticated and integrated with digital plus the lenses are superb. For me, the selection of the digital back wasn't a deciding factor but the on-going expense of the lenses was. If I were to make the same choice today, 3 years on, then I'd be an H1 shooter too (plus you find a way to 'afford' the lenses eventually). The other alternative would have been the Contax 645.
I suspect that you find the H1 is a lot more portable vs RZ too. For MF film I have a fully mechanical Rollei SL66 which is about as different to my D2X or Mamiya/Kodak combo as you can get. Sometimes its fun just to shoot film for the sake of it.
