Im kinda at a crossroads, i really want a new body with the Rebel XT coming out and i have the original Rebel. My real question is though i want the 1D MkII, but should i just wait and get the glass first then work on upgrading the body? I am also considering the 20d instead of the 1D MkII.

Currntly i have the Digital Rebel with the 18-55 EF-s the 50 1.8 the 80-200 and am ordering the Sigma 70-300 APO Super Macro II also i have the IR remote and a few spare batteries and the Canon 420 EX so really the remote batteries and 18-55 might not transfer depending on what i get.

Seriously, I'd go with 20D...it'll take your 18-55 and the batts. ...

I guess that i need to find a really good comparison between the two and see what features i thinkare the ones i will need "not want... 8.5FPS" then decide from there. Or just get some better glass and stick with what i got :)

I also have the original D Rebel, and I'll be going for the XT. The 20D was very enticing, but the XT has most of the features for 1/2 the price, especially the 3fps for 14shots. We'll (wife & I) will be keeping the 300D also.

BTW, the 1DsMII (note the 's') is the full-frame 16.7mp but only 4fps. The 1DMII (no 's') is 1.3 crop, 8.5mp and 8.5fps.
